Terms & Conditions 2025
The Causeway Coast Golf Tournament 2025 will be played at Ballycastle, Castlerock, Ballyliffin and North West Golf Clubs.
The Tournament will be played over five days from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th June 2025
Each player will play on four of the five days with a rest day.
Handicaps / Restrictions
The event is open to amateur gentlemen players over 18 years of age with a World Handicap Index of 24 or less. Each player must carry proof of handicap on each day of the Tournament. A current World Handicap Index must be submitted with the players registration. The maximum playing handicap will be 24.
All players must be members of Golf Clubs recognised and affiliated to their country’s governing body and must have an official handicap. All scores in this competition must be returned to the home club by the player concerned – see Clause 8.12. The Handicap Committee of the home club will consider them in accordance with Clause 23 either as part of the Annual Review or, if appropriate, for an immediate cut under Clause 23B – General Play Adjustment.
The Committee reserves the right to revise any players handicap before or during the Tournament.
Format
The overall competition is run on the Stableford system. Concurrently with the main Tournament a subsidiary competition is run each day at each course with trophies and prizes for the best scores returned including the best gross score on each course.
Entrance Fees/Discounts/Refunds
Host /Partner Club Members £125.00 Host/ Partner Clubs for 2025 are Royal Portrush, Ballycastle, Castlerock, Ballyliffin, North West, Rathmore and Bushfoot.
GUI Members £235.00
Visitors Outside Ireland £345.00*
* Visitors outside Ireland will be entitled to complimentary practice rounds after 4.00 pm from the Monday through to Friday preceding the Tournament. Practice rounds booked outside of these times may be subject to charge, this will be at
the discretion of the individual clubs. Please note that complimentary practice rounds will not be available at Ballyliffin GC in 2025.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL REQUESTS FOR REFUND OF ENTRY FEES WILL BE SUBJECT TO AN ADMINISTRATION CHARGE OF £20.00. (HOST PARTNER CLUBS £10)
The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry to the Tournament.
Early Bird discount (5%) for booking from 19th August 2024 to 20th December 2024.
Group Booking discount (10%) for 10 or more players from 19 August 2024 to 25th April 2025.
Entrance fees will not be refunded after 17th May 2025.
THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES WILL BE 25th APRIL 2025.
Entries will close prior to this date if the Tournament limit of 600 players is reached.
The Draw
The Tournament Director will endeavour, where possible, to fulfil requests for specific rest days and tee times however this cannot be guaranteed. Tee times may be subject change at short notice.
We will endeavour to post the draw at the participating Clubs and on the Tournament website a minimum of 7 days before the event.
Suspension or Cancellation of Play
Should play have to be suspended or cancelled by any event outside the control of the Tournament Committee (for example adverse weather), then the Committee will make the final decision regarding revision of play and awarding of prizes.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday 1st June 2025 at 7.30 pm. Venue to be confirmed.
Prize Presentation
The Prize will be held on Friday 6th June 2025 at 9.30 pm. Venue to be confirmed.

2025 Handicapping
For the duration of the Tournament only the Organising Committee has decided the following handicap rules will apply.
- Players will require their World Handicap Index each day
- Playing Handicap will be 95% of the Course Handicap.
- The maximum playing handicap will be 24
- For the top 3 players at each course each day the following cuts will be applied to their WHI.
- 1st -2.0
- 2nd -1.8
- 3rd -1.6
It is incumbent on all players to return their scores to their clubs or relevant governing bodies
